This book was such an awesome read!! It is way more than just a memoir. As with all books by Diane Kidman, you get golden nuggets that leads to even more information. It is interesting to know HOW she got involved and became so interested in plants. I recommend this book. Be prepared to highlight and come back to this book again. She even included a few recipes at the end that I know I want to try out.Product details

I really enjoyed this little gem of a book. I have most of Diane Kidman's books and apart from them all being filled with valuable information, they are also very entertaining to read. It was therefore a pleasure to read this short memoir and find out a little more about the Diane and what got her to where she is now. A lover of plants and full of knowledge that might get lost if we don't have writers like Diane Kidman to tell us about it.
It was inspiring and engaging to read about the ways that Diane's life experiences have shaped her passion for herbs. In response to reading it, I find myself craving opportunities to be resourceful with the plentiful herbs that I have access to in my community. She is knowledgeable about the broad ways to utilize herbs in eating, healing, hygiene, etc. and her style of writing is enjoyable and informative. This book serves as a wonderful companion to the collection of books that Diane has written on herbs. Grab some herbal tea and take the time to read it - you'll be glad you did (I am)!
Some of My Best Friends Are Plants A Short Memoir I loved this book! I enjoyed getting to know one of my favorite authors a little better. Diane holds nothing back about her experiences into the world of herbalism. She shares her successes as well as her failures with that witty humor we have all come to love, making this a fun read. It's a must have companion to her other books, and gives an inside view of what life with Diane Kidman is really like!
Life changing book! If you truly want to life a chemical life and take better care of your family this book is a must!
